Can Bush be Impeached?

By Fancy Pants Elitist at 4:11 PM

Apparently, all this blogging we've been doing about the "Downing Street Memo" is starting to have an effect in major newspapers. Today, in the Media Beat Section of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Norman Solomon has written an article entitled, "Can Bush be Impeached?"

Well it's not the front page, and it is an oped, but that's the first time I've seen this speculation in the semi-MSM. This may actually end up being a lot more like Watergate, but this time it is we, the bloggers, who are going to end up as Woodward and Bernstein, since there are no more journalists anymore. Anyway it's an interesting read.

It's going to take the same repetition the right uses to bring them down. Just like it's Bush's job to keep repeating lies until they are believed, we have to pound and pound and pound away until the message is heard. It's going to take some visionary solutions that you and I know are out there just waiting to bubble to the top.

The damn is finally breaking! In tomorrow's NY Times, columnist Bob Herbert flat goes after Bush via the Downing Street Memo and all Bush's lies. Fox began it with talking about the Downing St Memo. One thing to be from Fox, but when the NY Times picks it up, BushCo is in serious trouble. More, they're planning a big article later this week when their investigations are completed. Hot damn!
