Retreadament -or- Die Before You Get Old

      Fresh on the heels of president Bush saying that we need Social Security reform, he now insists that we need private pension reform and to put more burden on businesses. It would appear that Bush is anti-retirement planning altogether. Under Bush's ideals, you should get rich while you are young and stay that way or go to hell.

"If nothing is done, the financial integrity of the federal insurance system will be compromised and the pension security of 34 million workers and retirees will be more at risk," Chao said in a luncheon speech.

"The time to act is now. This system is unsustainable," she said. The administration proposal would force companies to better fund their pensions, and pay more to insure them.
